Dam amplifies reflections in water captured at the Natomas Dam to create a transformative burst of visual energy. Reflecting on California’s ten-year drought, the piece celebrates water as the source of life.
This 30-second piece was commissioned by the Sacramento Metropolitan Arts Commission, the Golden 1 Center, and the Sacramento Kings for the inaugural art screening at the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento. The screening also included twenty experimental videos created by students in the New Media Art program at CSUS. The student screening was juried by the Sacramento Metropolitan Arts Commission Art in Public Places panel.
