Over and Under is an augmented-reality object created for the augmented-reality exhibition Really Fake at William Paterson University, New Jersey, curated by Michael Rees and Chris Manzione. Really Fake was part of artist Chris Manzione’s Virtual Public Art Project.
Augmented reality is a view of the physical real-world environment merged with virtual computer-generated imagery in real time. VPAP merges the physical environment of public spaces around the world with site-specific virtual sculptures that can only be viewed in the round using an iPhone or Android phone when the viewer is at the sculpture’s real-world location.
